It's been a long search to find a lake in France and realise my dreams and now I have, there just happens to be three of them. The purchase of L'étourneau began in 2001 and was finalised in 2003, those of you who are familliar with the French way of life will understand why it has taken so long. Work started almost immediately and the two largest lakes were drained and all the original stock of Carp, about 400 in all, were put into the stock pond. These fish ranged from 2-12lb but have now grown on and remain in their new home. The two largest lakes have been entirely stocked with young fast growing Carp of 20-40lb+.

L'étourneau is Danny's dream come true. A fisherman all of his life and most of them for Carp, Danny has travelled extensively throughout France searching for a quality water. Having found L'étourneau, his sole purpose is to make sure that you don't suffer the same disappointments he has.

You will find Danny to be the most sociable of people whether it is for a spot of tactical advice or a lazy chat over a cool beer. Be happy, catch fish and enjoy the peace is all he wants you to do.
