Situated in the Limousin-Perigord National Park and set in 50 acres of woodland, L'étourneau offers superb fishing in a peaceful and tranquil environment. Mature trees surround the lakes giving a real feeling of seclusion. We are easily reached by air, TGV or by car, about a 6 hour drive from Calais.

Lake 1 is 9 acres in size and has vehicle access to all 18 swims, of which there are singles, doubles and one treble. We recommend a maximum of eight anglers although larger 'group' bookings can be accommodated. Fish to over 56lb with an average weight of over 30lb, we expect our first 60lb fish this year. Situated adjacent to lake 1 is the fishing lodge, a traditional log cabin constructed to blend in with the surrounding area. The lodge is home to the resident English bailiffs that are on duty 24 hours a day.

Lake 2 is 7 acres in size and has been stocked with fish from 14 to 16lb. There has only been one night session on this lake since stocking and this produced a fish of 26lb. Lake 2 also provides a fantastic opportunity to stalk fish that have never seen a hookbait before. Lake 3 is one and a half acres in size and is our fun water, with perch, roach, tench, bream and 400 carp to 15lb. When you book L'étourneau all three lakes are yours to fish, you are free to move around the fishery as you wish.
